Course Overview
This course explores relevant information
for the application of the Children’s Act.
We firstly consider the basic principles underpinning the Act. We further explore the best interest of the
child standard, and consider the rights and responsibilities of parents or
carers. Lastly, we will contemplate sections
of the Act considering whether a child is in need of care and protection while
contemplating risk factors contributing to abuse and maltreatment of children.
